Short page. We use Google Analytics, our payment provider sets cookies when you pay, and we load no ad scripts. Everything that can land in your browser is listed below, in full.
Three kinds of things can end up in your browser here: a setting you chose (theme), Google Analytics cookies so we can count visits, and our payment provider's cookies when you start a payment. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. Details and lifetimes below, plus how to block any of it.
| name | type | what it does | lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
theme | localStorage | Remembers whether you picked light or dark mode with the toggle in the header. Never sent to us. | until you clear site data |
No sessionStorage, no IndexedDB, no cookies of our own.
We use Google Analytics 4 on every page to see which questions get read and where visitors come from. It sets first-party cookies with a random identifier; they do not contain your name, email or anything you typed. What we do with the data is in the privacy policy.
| name | set by | what it does | lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Random visitor id, so that a return visit counts as the same browser rather than a new one. | 2 years |
_ga_NK9SYEVL50 | Google Analytics | Keeps the current session together (pages viewed in one visit). | 2 years |
On the Top Slot and page sponsorpages, Stripe's checkout script loads only after you click to claim a spot — not on page load. Once it loads, Stripe sets cookies to process the payment and detect fraud:
| name | set by | what it does | lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
__stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud prevention: recognises the browser across Stripe checkouts. | 1 year |
__stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention: ties the current checkout session together. | 30 minutes |
These are strictly necessary to complete a payment you initiated. Details inStripe's cookie policy.
The site is served by Cloudflare. If Cloudflare's bot protection ever has to challenge a request, it may set its own security cookies (such as__cf_bm) for the duration of the challenge. They exist to keep the site up, not to track you.
If we add anything beyond what is listed here, this page changes first and the date at the top moves. A consent banner for the analytics cookies is on the way.
