Yes, Zapier has a free plan with no card and no end date: 100 tasks a month, in Zaps of one trigger and one action. Your first 14 days are a trial of the paid Professional plan, though, so what you build that fortnight is not what you keep. On day 15 the multi-step Zaps, webhooks and premium apps stop working.
Stay on the free plan if one trigger and one action covers the job and it runs about three times a day or less, like a form entry into a spreadsheet.
Pay if the job needs a second action, a filter, a webhook or a premium app, because none of those exist on the free plan at any volume.
Skip it if you already know the workflow will have five steps and run thousands of times a month, since Zapier bills every step and the price climbs fast.

| plan | price | what matters |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps, 15-minute polling, one user |
| Professional, 750 tasks | $29.99/mo | Multi-step Zaps, webhooks, premium apps, Paths, 2-minute polling. $19.99 a month billed annually |
| Professional, 10,000 tasks | $193.50/mo | Same features, more tasks. $129 a month billed annually |
| Team, 2,000 tasks | $103.50/mo | The plan for more than one user. $69 a month billed annually |
| Agents Pro | $400/yr | 1,500 agent activities a month, billed apart from tasks |
About 100 runs a month, or three a day. The pricing page says "unlimited Zaps", and that is how many automations you may build, not how often they run. Every run of a two-step Zap spends one task, however many Zaps share the allowance.
When it is gone, Zapier holds new runs until your billing cycle resets. That is your sign-up date, not the first of the month.
Every new account starts on a 14-day trial of Professional, with 1,000 tasks and no payment method asked for. It does not turn into a charge. When it ends, the account drops to the free plan on its own.
The trap is what you build in those two weeks. A third step, a webhook or a premium app all work until day 15, then those Zaps stop. If you mean to stay free, build as if you already were: one trigger, one action, no premium app.
Both are included, on different meters. Zapier MCP, which lets an AI app act in your other apps, draws on the same 100 tasks as your Zaps, and each successful tool call costs two. That is 50 calls a month if you run no Zaps at all.
Agents get their own 400 activities a month. On the free plan one run is capped at 10 activities, and test runs count against the 400.
Features first, volume second. Professional is where multi-step Zaps, webhooks, premium apps and Paths begin, and its entry tier has 750 tasks. Tasks are counted per action, so a Zap with four actions run 200 times uses 800 and is already over. Count your actions before you choose a tier, not your runs.
Nothing on the free plan. Professional starts at $29.99 a month billed monthly for 750 tasks, and Team at $103.50 for 2,000. The "$19.99" on the pricing page is the Professional price when you prepay a year.
Two worth knowing. Make has a free plan with 1,000 credits a month and two active scenarios, and it counts the trigger as a credit. n8n has no licence fee if you host it on your own server.
Not one we could find. Zapier's discounts page lists two: 33% off for paying annually, and 15% off paid plans for verified nonprofits. Students get the same free plan as everyone else.
