Is there an AI for removing objects from videos?

Video inpainting paints out photobombers, boom mics and logos, rebuilding the background frame by frame. On a locked-off shot with a simple background it looks like magic and takes a couple of minutes. On a handheld shot in a crowd you get a smeary ghost that trails the thing you deleted around the frame.
